What a start we’ve already had to 2018. Not only have we launched our interiors division, Tang Interiors, but we’ve also acquired the region’s leading stainless steel and glass balustrading businesses, SHS Products, as well as kicking off new programmes and recruiting additional people to our team.

The industry has also seen a massive change this year. Carillion’s demise and liquidation have had a huge impact on construction. Prominent developments have come to a halt, suppliers and subcontractors are uncertain about their futures, and the spotlight is on other tier-one contractors to ensure responsible management is taking place.

We’re in a unique position to offer security to both the talent pool of individuals who find themselves out of work due to Carillion’s collapse, and also the suppliers and subcontractors that we work with that might be affected.

We called on the industry to do what it can to protect its supply chain and, in turn, skilled workers to keep them in jobs.

Our CEO Andy Robinson did interviews with regional ITV and BBC TV news outlets, as well as BBC Local Radio stations.
